Originally used to describe a period during a ritual, such as tribal rites of passage, where the initiated had yet to complete the ritual, but were well underway into it. During these periods, old traditions were said to break down, new ideas and beliefs came forth, and all the world was realigned. This is the anthropological concept of Liminality.

In the world of PANTHEON, initiates of the Manipulator projects can be said to have experienced their own separate Liminalities.

"Before me, all of history unfolded-- from cold dark, to the bright heat, all heart beats and emotions compressed into a minute. I lost myself to the Liminality, and I have yet to return." -Jude, on his induction as a Manipulator
